The Military Orders are the armed defenders of the Church within PanOceania, heirs to ancient knightly traditions reborn in the technologically advanced Human Sphere. Subject to PanOceanian High Command but retaining a measure of independence, these militant religious orders wage war in defense of their faith and the Hyperpower's interests, carrying the spirit of medieval crusaders onto the battlefields of the future.

Their warrior-monks march into combat clad in sophisticated powered armor, wielding advanced firearms alongside the blades that symbolize their ancient traditions. From the disciplined Knights Hospitaller to the ferocious Teutonic Knights and renowned Knights of Santiago, the Military Orders embody an uncompromising union of religious devotion, martial discipline, and overwhelming force.

How They Play

Military Orders favor aggressive, direct engagements led by heavily armored knights and supported by disciplined infantry. Their powerful Fireteams and close-combat specialists excel at breaking enemy positions, but their expensive troops demand careful movement, efficient Order management, and a clear plan for reaching mission objectives.

Your First Games

Protect Your Knights

Your heavily armored warriors are formidable, but their high points costs mean every casualty matters. Use cover and supporting fire to advance safely, and avoid exposing your most valuable troops to multiple enemy attacks just because they can withstand more punishment than ordinary infantry.

Choose When to Charge

Military Orders have excellent close-combat specialists, but reaching melee isn't always the best solution. Use your ranged weapons to eliminate dangerous defenders, create safe approaches, and commit your knights to close combat when the reward justifies the risk.

Let Your Specialists Win the Mission

Powerful knights can dominate firefights, but objectives still need to be completed. Include appropriate specialists and supporting troops, preserve Orders for mission tasks, and resist spending your entire turn chasing enemy casualties.
